Angelo’s passion for wellbeing and the martial arts started in his early teens when he began practicing Karate. He then went on to study Taekwondo under
Master Jung Myung Oh and Jujitsu under Shihan Anthony Flask. As an adjunct to his martial arts studies, he took up weight training and bodyweight exercises
as a teenager and has maintained a life-long commitment to physical training ever since. His studies also led him to having a fascination with the
associated weaponry to the point where he has an encyclopedic knowledge of Chinese weapons through the ages. In addition to the external side of the
arts, his internal journey saw him delve deeply into Eastern philosophies and the practice of meditation for healing.
Looking into the issue of lifelong training, and the maintenance of optimum health and fitness into old age, Angelo realized that heavy physical training and fast, hard external martial arts styles could not be practiced indefinitely. His search for a martial art that could be practiced to any age led him to look into the Chinese internal arts. This is where he discovered Taijiquan, a gentle yet powerful martial art, a moving meditation and a system for maintaining health and fitness with eastern philosophical underpinnings.
Angelo has now been studying Taijiquan and Qigong for almost a decade, participating in numerous intensive training programs, assisting in the organization of National competitions, teaching at the Corporate and Local Government level as well as supporting Youth, Seniors, and people with Disabilities to gain the enormous benefits of these remarkable arts. He is also an Industry Accredited Martial Arts Instructor with Martial Arts Australia.
